Tokyo Hotel

Tokyo Hotel Hotel rooms in Tokyo are even smaller than the ones we had before. About 5 square-meters have to be sufficient. Out gig at "Earthdom" was really energetic and powerful even there haven't been too many people attending the show. Around our hotel everything is colorful and loud but thanks god you don7t here anything of that crazyness at night in the rooms. Tomorrow we'll do some sightseeing and will be back at ”Tokyo Hotel" again.

It seems as if we're about to get more and more fans over here. The lady from the "Bamboo Club" was at our gig in Hirohige again bringing her daughter and some friends along. She's one of our biggest fans and I'm quire sure she'll be at the show tomorrow in Tokyo too! The audience yesterday was great!

Wow, we had our first show in Japan!  The gig at the "Bamboo Club" in Osaka was one of those gigs one's going to talk about in years. The venue was the appartment of the lady, running the club! Well actually she was living in the club. A fine and tiny place. We where given a great meal, candys and where shown photos and got lots of traditional  Japanese tea so none of us could find some sleep afterwards!

Samstag, 2.5.09

Last night we played the "Elixir-Club". The place was packed with enthusiastic people enjoying our show. The stage there was a kind of balcony with a very low ceiling....well I hardly could stand upright and had to pay attention not to run into the AC. Anyway it was a great gig. Afterwards the club-owner cooked a great meal for us. Japanese people are really good cooks. Whereever we eat something it tastes great!

Mellow Trip - Donnerstag 30.4.09

Thursday, april 30th 2009

After a 13h fligth from Leipzig via Paris to Osaka, we got used to the new timezone quite fast and enjoyed different variations of excellent japanese food. The japanaese people are very friendly and try to help whenever possible.

Last night Alfred our bass-player showed us his skills of the Japanese language. He made it to find us a bar to have a beer by asking some people in the street. As he was not with me right now it took me hours to find this Internetcafe where I am at right now!

Japan - Letzte Vorbereitungen

After rehearsing like hell for the upcoming tour "Mellow Trip" through Japan, we're now about ironing our underwear :-) and getting our suitcases ready for take off! Tomorrow we'll be up in the air going from Leipzig to Paris to Osaka. There we'll have our first gig on april 30th. We're really excited about the Japanese audience.

The preparations for the tour where really good. Working with Duane Levi and his agency Shalestone Music was a real pleasure and I believe it will be during the next 2 weeks.

Goa 4.0

25th january / 2pm Goa-Dabolim-Airport: after a 45-minute-ride from Panjim to the airport, the driver dropped me a the terminal for domestic flights. He seemed to drive extra carefully and not as risky as the other road users did. I wanted to take some pictures out of the car as my last roll wasn't full yet...yeah you're right there are still some people - call them dinosaurs - not owning a digital camera, knowing how to adjust focus and exposure...

Goa 2.0

Everything's open! Everyday there's a change in the schedule. The only thing remaining the same is the weather (sun, sun, sun with 30 degree
C) and the great food!

I just have to get used to the very different way to book gigs, but that's not that hard, as i got my own manager doing everything from getting toilet paper to booking gigs!

Goa 1.0

The Gonsalves Mansion

After a thirty-hour trip I finally arrived in Goa. Beautiful weather with never-ending sunshine - except at night :-) - welcomes me and let me forget the trip of two nights withour sleep. That I had on the first day extensively.
The "Gonsavles Mansion" and the promoter Armanod Gonsalves and his team are very nice and friendly people working for the music and the musicians.
